Kate
Kate is a 2-year old, natural
ear/docked, spayed female. She is a very pretty, little girl
with an attitude. She is great with adults, not so much with
young children or other dogs. No reaction to cats. She
is very affectionate, obedient, well-mannered and just wants to
be right behind you. She loves to play "I'm gonna get you" doing the puppy pounce with her cute, little tush & tail wiggling in the air. She has spent too much time in a shelter
due to her dog aggression which only makes it worse. But the
shelter knew how wonderful she was with people that they were not
going to give up on her -- and neither are we. We do have
one concern with her medically. When she came she had a growth
on her hip, the Vet was suspicious of it and it was immediately
removed and biopsied to see exactly what it is. She is
doing well and healing perfectly. Although suspicious, we
are optimistic and await the results. She certainly does
not act like she has a problem in the world and is very healthy
otherwise.
FOLLOW-UP: Great news! Kate's results came back and it was a benign cyst. The vet feels that she got it all and there is no reason to think there will be any more problems.

KATE'S SURGERY
YOUR DONATION IS NEEDED: This was a very expensive surgery and, with people that believe in a 2nd chance like we do, we were able to
provide this to her. Please keep dogs like Kate in mind when
you adopt or donate to rescue dogs.
If you are interested in donating towards her surgery and after care please contact our Treasurer, Denise Yerger, at 610-462-7130. |
Buddy
Buddy is a 2-1/2 yr old, natural ear/docked, neutered male.
Unfortunately he is a little too much for his elderly owners.
He has definitely been spoiled and used to the good life.
He is well-mannered with a very tender nature.
He wants to be with you constantly touching (typical male dobie), loves people and
wants to be the center of attention. He is good with cats and female dogs, he will not be adopted with another male.
He needs to find a forever home with a moderately active family that does not mind a dog on the furniture.
He also loves a bedtime snack of Cheerios and banana.
He needs a little work on the leash and does show toy possessiveness.
We think Buddy would be happiest being the only dog with a playdate with the right dog.
Please call Jen at 717-582-7801.
