Once you submit an application, your references are checked. When approved, we will contact you and make every effort to match you to an appropriate pet. Since our purpose is to find the best possible Doberman for your situation, we appreciate your patience. When we have a Doberman, we feel can offer what you want in a companion, we will contact you to arrange a meeting. Meanwhile, you may request an initial visit if you want to meet our personal Dobermans (some of whom were once rescue dogs) and discuss any aspect of the adoption process. We also urge you to keep in touch periodically.

Do you need to surrender a doberman?

DPR of PA is here to help you if cannot keep your Doberman. We have a waiting list of people looking to give an adoptable Dobe a home. Fill out our release form online to start the process immediately.  You will subsequently be requested to download and submit a Consent to Release form and an Aggression/Bite Disclaimer with original signatures.

If you choose not to use the online form, you may also download and mail the complete Release Form, Consent to Release form, and Aggression/Bite Disclaimer by clicking here.  Please return to Jen Imhoff per the instructions on the form. 

Your consideration of a donation to DPRPA when you release a dog to us is greatly appreciated.  Please keep in mind that a donation is optional and is not required to bring a dog into our program.  Donations are tax deductible and will help support our work.
