DPR of PA is a non-profit, charitable organization and relies on its volunteers to achieve its mission in placing homeless Dobermans into responsible pet homes and informing the public about the breed.  We always need quality foster homes so that we do not turn away a Doberman in need.

....Without foster homes, dogs stay in shelters where Dobermans are well-known for the way that they quickly deteriorate.

.....Without foster homes, dogs are taken to shelters where they are commonly misunderstood, evaluated by people that do not necessarily know what they are looking at and not factoring in the extreme stress they are under.
