Caesar was turned into the Buffalo SPCA in August of 2019 after his family found him to be too much for them. He was adopted, but returned after 5 days when he continued to break out of his crate.  The Buffalo SPCA contacted DPRPA for help finding a proper home for him.  Read more....

Missy was surrendered to DPRPA in early 2020 from the SPCA after she was released from protective custody.  She was seized from a “boutique” breeder’s home where 55 dogs were kept in unsanitary conditions with many suffering from untreated medical conditions. Read more...

Before Bailey reached her second birthday, she had already been passed from one irresponsible owner to another. Living outside with little human contact, her last owners simply packed up and moved out of the state of Virginia, leaving her and another dog penned up.  Read more...

In early February 2014, DPRPA received an email from the Chester County SPCA about a six-year-old red male Doberman, Rusty, who was surrendered by his owner who could no longer care for him while caring for his wife with cancer.   He also had a high fever but was freezing cold.   Read more...
